SPORT PSYCHOLOGY
What is Sport Psychology? Put in the simplest terms, Sport Psychology is just helping players perform at their optimal level by teaching them mental skills (e.g., focus, goal-setting, positive self-talk, etc.), helping them practice those mental skills, and by working through performance issues. Sport Psychology is a rapidly growing field and and is utilized by many of today's top athletes. Kelly Wilson, (3D Soccer's Founder, Owner, and Director of Instruction) earned her Masters Degree in Sport Psychology from California State University, Fresno in 2005. This formal training along with over 15 years of coaching experience at various levels of soccer have given her a great understanding of how to develop player's metal skills along side of their physical skills. While she does not offer sport psychology consulting to individual athletes she is passionate about sharing her knowledge with coaches, parents and players.
Lectures & Workshops

Soccer now offers lectures and workshops on a variety of Sport
Psychology topics. Some of these events are hosted by 3D Soccer and
are open to the general public, others are hosted by a specific
organization for their coaching staff, parents, and players. If your
organization would like to host a lecture, please contact 3D Soccer to
discuss lecture topics, dates, and rates. While walk-ups are allowed, we will
only have packets of handouts available for registered individuals who

Team Building ($125)
Coach Kelly is experienced in leading team building activities with players at the youth, high school, and collegiate level. Team Building is exactly what it sounds like: building your team on a foundation of cooperation and positive communication. Team Building activities are designed to re-create challenges that players face on the field in order to give them a chance to practice, in a non-competitive setting, the group skills they will need to be successful on the field. Behaviors cover such things as good communication, problem solving skills, trust, taking advantage of the strengths and weaknesses of each team member and understanding other points of view. They can also help a team to recover from disunity, frustration or conflict.Team Building sessions are a great way to break the ice at the start of a season by helping teammates form and strengthen friendships. Team Building is also a great way for coaches to assess players' psychological traits such as leadership, resilience, persistence, problem-solving, communication, and cooperativeness.
Last but not least, Team Building is fun!! Players and coaches bond through laughter and triumph as the team puts its best effort into accomplishing the challenging activities.
