MVP CHALLENGE ~ $49.00

The MVP Challenge is a unique, month-long, individual tournament in which statistics are recorded to determine the Most Valuable Player for each age group.  Here's how it works:
  • Players sign up as INDIVIDUALS
  • The players in each age bracket will be split into teams. (Teams will be reassigned each week so that no one team can dominate the tournament.)
  • Each Sunday the teams compete in a Round Robin tournament.
  • During every match, statistics will be recorded and points are awarded for   win/tie/loss, goals scored and shutouts.
The MVP is the single player with the most points at the end of the month. The MVP from each age group is awarded a BIG trophy and FREE admission to a 2009 3D Soccer Camp!

Registration

  • Fee: $49.00 for payment received before Feb 15 ($10 late fee after the 15th)
  • Location: Warwick Rec. Center (next to Warwick HS)
  • Group Size: 14 player Minimum, 20 player Maximum
  • Dates: Sundays March 1, 8, 15, & 22

Point System

Each individual earns points every game according to the following scoring system.
  • 3 points for a WIN
  • 2 points for a TIE
  • 1 point for a LOSS
  • 1 point for each goal scored
  • 2 points for a shutout
Examples:
  • If your team wins 7-3, every winning player gets 3 pts for the win and 1 pt for each goal scored = 10 pts
  • If your team ties 4-4, every player gets 2 points for the tie and 1 pt per goal =6 pts
  • If your team looses 4-5, every loosing player gets 1 pt per goal and 1pt for the loss = 5 pts
